Moving Verses – poetry in the video format

In the frame of the festival an international program of video poetry selected by curator Chinara Mejidova will be screened with sub-titles in Azerbaijanian language. Th efilms could be watched in Kichik GalArt gallery all through the festival days from 11am to 7 pm. Most of the films have been presented for screening free of charge  by the Visible Poetry Project as a result of established partnership with Nasimi Festival.

Visible Poetry Project has been established in 2017 in USA with the aim to bring together the film makers who attempt to present the poetry thourhg the short video films.  The project explores the ways of re-creating and interpreting the verses by means of film and strives for making poetry more accessible.  Every year during 30 day of April – National Poetry Month, each day one visual poem is getting presented.
